Iraq’s Supreme Judicial Council Warns Against Unaccredited Judicial Institute Preparation Courses
The head of Iraq’s Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, has confirmed that courses advertised on social media to prepare candidates for the Judicial Institute entrance examination are not officially recognized by either the council or the institute. He stressed that the Iraqi judiciary has no affiliation with the parties organizing these programs.
Zaidan made the remarks while chairing the 12th session of the Iraqi Judicial Council, during which several judges and public prosecution members were promoted, and judicial positions were assigned in line with the requirements of the public interest.
The council also reviewed social media advertisements promoting preparation courses for the Judicial Institute examination under various names and organized by different individuals and entities. It reaffirmed that the outcomes of these courses carry no official recognition within the Iraqi judiciary.
