Iraq Reaffirms It Will Not Allow Its Territory to Be Used for Attacks on Saudi Arabia
Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein assured his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan, that Iraq would not allow its territory to be used as a launching point for any attacks against Saudi Arabia or actions threatening the security of countries across the region.
The statement came during a phone call between the two ministers, during which Hussein conveyed the Iraqi government's condemnation of the attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed its rejection of any harm inflicted on civilians or civilian infrastructure.
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the call also addressed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation across various fields, particularly security cooperation, to help both countries address ongoing regional challenges.
