Iraq Deploys Drones to Monitor Land Violations in Baghdad
First Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, Director of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, announced the use of drones to monitor and track land violations across Baghdad, following directives from the Commander-in-Chief’s Office.
Al-Shammari said the measure is aimed at curbing violations and preventing them from continuing. He noted that a higher committee has been formed to oversee the issue, alongside local committees in different areas tasked with identifying and monitoring violations.
The decision follows a recent assault in Baghdad’s Al-Doura district, which has brought the issue of land encroachments back into focus for security and government authorities.
