Iraq and Syria Hold Talks to Strengthen Security and Economic Cooperation

Iraq and Syria are moving toward a new phase of coordination, with diplomatic and security efforts focusing on strengthening cooperation in border security, counterterrorism, trade and energy.

The developments coincide with Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi's visit to Syria and his meeting with President Ahmed al-Sharaa to discuss shared challenges and expand cooperation between Baghdad and Damascus.
