Drug Trafficking Suspect Escapes Security Facility in Diyala

A detainee accused of drug trafficking has escaped from a security facility in Baqubah, the capital of Iraq’s Diyala province, reportedly using a ventilation opening.

A security source stated that the suspect fled from a building belonging to the Directorate of Narcotics Control at Al-Quds intersection in Baqubah. Security forces subsequently deployed across the area and launched an investigation to determine the circumstances of the escape, locate the fugitive, and take the necessary legal measures.
