China to Send Special Envoy to Iran, Oman and Saudi Arabia Within Two Weeks
China's Foreign Ministry announced on Monday, November 2, 2026, that a special envoy of the Chinese government will visit Iran, Oman and Saudi Arabia over the next two weeks.
In a statement, the ministry said the tour is part of Beijing's diplomatic efforts to strengthen communication with regional parties, support dialogue and promote steps aimed at easing tensions.
The planned visits come amid rising tensions across the Middle East and the Gulf, with growing concerns over a possible expansion of the conflict and its implications for regional stability and maritime security.
Through this diplomatic initiative, Beijing seeks to reinforce its role in the region, encourage the parties concerned to resolve their differences through dialogue and negotiations, and prevent further escalation.
