Field studies have revealed six primary reasons behind this surge, led by economic factors such as unemployment and living pressures. Electronic infidelity, linked to the misuse of social media platforms, has also emerged as a frequent cause of marital disputes, along with family interference, early marriage, substance abuse, and the influence of foreign behaviors through digital platforms.
