Singapore’s Oil Product Inventories Rise 0.9%, with Iraq Among Key Suppliers

Singapore’s oil product inventories increased by 0.9% in the week ending October 28, 2026, reaching 38.49 million barrels, driven by a rise in clean distillate stocks, according to government data released on Thursday.

The figures showed that Iraq ranked second among Singapore’s naphtha suppliers, delivering 30,000 metric tons, while Brunei topped the list with approximately 37,000 metric tons.

Iraq also featured among the leading Middle Eastern suppliers of fuel oil to Singapore, alongside Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Total fuel oil imports rose by 19.1%, exceeding 1.15 million metric tons during the reporting period.

Meanwhile, middle distillate inventories—which include diesel, gasoil and jet fuel—increased to approximately 8.5 million barrels, up from 8.31 million barrels in the previous week.

Light distillate stocks, comprising naphtha and gasoline, also climbed to 11.304 million barrels, reaching their highest level in two weeks. In contrast, residual fuel oil inventories declined by 0.9% to 18.68 million barrels.

Singapore remains one of Asia’s major hubs for oil product trading and storage. Changes in its inventory levels and import flows therefore serve as important indicators of regional fuel supply and demand trends.
