Iraqi Prime Minister Receives Official Welcome in Amman Ahead of Bilateral Talks

An official reception ceremony was held on Monday at Marka Airport in Jordan’s capital, Amman, to welcome Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi at the start of his official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Jordan’s King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein received Al-Zaidi upon his arrival. The ceremony featured the national anthems of both countries, followed by an inspection of the honor guard.

During the visit, Al-Zaidi is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with King Abdullah II to discuss ways to strengthen relations between Iraq and Jordan and expand cooperation in addressing various challenges. He will also co-chair an expanded meeting of the two countries’ delegations with his Jordanian counterpart and oversee the signing of several memoranda of understanding aimed at enhancing economic cooperation, deepening integration, and advancing a strategic partnership that serves the mutual interests of both countries.
