Basra Gas and TotalEnergies to Employ 327 Oil Institute Graduates

Basra Gas Company began recruitment procedures on Monday for 227 graduates of the Oil Institute from Basra Governorate, while TotalEnergies is set to employ an additional 100 graduates, bringing the total number of recruits to 327.

In a statement, the Ministry of Oil said the selection process was based on graduation seniority and the specializations required by the companies. The procedures were conducted under the supervision of a specialized ministerial committee, with the participation of South Gas Company, to ensure that candidates' qualifications match operational needs and job requirements while maintaining transparency in the selection process.

The ministry added that similar procedures will be implemented with investment companies and other secondary companies, as part of efforts to provide employment opportunities for the largest possible number of graduates from oil institutes and other academic specialties in Baghdad and across Iraq’s provinces.
