Zelenskyy Says Death Toll from Kyiv Region Strike Rises to 38

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the death toll from a Russian strike on an ammunition depot in the Kyiv region has risen to 38, while four people remain missing.

The attack, which took place late Friday, targeted a military facility containing artillery shells, mines, drones and other ammunition, as Russia intensified its attacks on the Ukrainian capital.

Zelenskyy said emergency teams were continuing to extinguish fires and clear debris, adding that efforts to clean up and secure the affected area would continue until the work is completed.

He said Russia had used nearly 2,000 attack drones, 1,600 aerial bombs and 31 missiles against Ukraine over the past week, vowing that his country would respond to the attacks.
