Unknown Gunfire Targets Thermal Camera Belonging to Kirkuk Operations Forces in Nineveh

The Security Media Cell announced on Saturday that a thermal camera belonging to the Commando Brigade of the Kirkuk Operations Command came under fire from an unidentified source within the Nineveh Operations Command sector.

According to a statement, the incident occurred in rugged terrain overlooking the banks of the Zab River. The gunfire damaged the camera but caused no human casualties. Security forces subsequently launched a wide-scale search operation in the area to locate and pursue the source of the fire.
