UAE Condemns Iranian Drone Attack and Reaffirms Right to Respond
The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned an Iranian attack involving a drone, saying that its air defense systems intercepted and dealt with the aircraft over the country’s territorial waters.
In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs held Iran fully responsible for the attack and its consequences, describing the incident as a serious escalation and a direct threat to the country’s security, stability and territorial integrity.
The ministry said the attack violated the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, stressing that the UAE would not tolerate any threats to its sovereignty or national security.
The statement added that the UAE reserves its full and legitimate right to respond to such attacks and take measures necessary to protect its territory, citizens, residents and visitors, in accordance with international law.
