Two Terrorists Killed, Third Wounded and Captured in Clash North of Kirkuk

Security Media Cell chief Saad Maan announced on Sunday that two terrorists were killed and a third was wounded and captured during a clash with an Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service force in the Altun Kupri area, north of Kirkuk.

Maan said a force from the Second Special Operations Command of the Counter-Terrorism Service engaged three terrorists following intelligence monitoring. Two of them were wearing explosive belts, while the third was responsible for transporting them.

He explained that the confrontation resulted in the deaths of the two terrorists wearing explosive belts, while the third was wounded and arrested by security forces. Two Counter-Terrorism Service personnel were also wounded, while a civilian was killed in the incident.

Earlier, the Counter-Terrorism Service reported that a clash with ISIS members in Altun Kupri had resulted in the killing of two terrorists wearing explosive belts.
