Trump: Iran War Will End Soon, Renewed Strikes Remain Possible

US President Donald Trump reiterated that the United States is on course to end the war with Iran and achieve what he described as victory in the near future, while leaving open the possibility of renewed military strikes against Tehran.

Speaking to Fox News, Trump said the key US objective was to ensure that Iran does not obtain a nuclear weapon. He also claimed that Washington was making progress against Tehran on both the military and economic fronts.

Trump further said oil prices would fall sharply toward pre-war levels once the conflict ends, while declining to rule out the possibility of renewed military action against Iran before the US midterm elections
