Shipping Traffic Through Strait of Hormuz Declines

Cargo shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz declined to four vessels over the past 24 hours, compared with six vessels the previous day and well below the 10-day average of around 16 vessels.

Preliminary data from Kpler, a company specializing in vessel-tracking services, showed that three ships entered the strait toward the Gulf, while only one vessel exited. The traffic included two Panamax vessels, one Supramax ship and another of the Kamsarmax class.

Meanwhile, 23 cargo vessels passed through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait over the past 24 hours, compared with a 10-day average of around 26 vessels. Of these, 13 ships headed toward the Red Sea, while 10 sailed toward the Gulf of Aden.
