Security Media: Iraqi Forces Ready to Take Over Security File on September 30

The Security Media Directorate confirmed on Sunday that Iraqi security forces are fully prepared to assume responsibility for the security file on September 30, warning that the coming days could witness attempts to fuel tensions and divisions and distract public attention.

Head of the Security Media Directorate, Lieutenant General Saad Maan, said the period surrounding September 30 could see increased efforts to stir disputes, sectarian tensions and escalation, stressing the need for greater security and media awareness.

Maan rejected claims questioning the ability of Iraqi forces to assume the security responsibilities, emphasizing that the forces have continued to develop and possess the necessary readiness and capabilities to take over the security file on September 30.
