Security Forces Free Judge and Doctor from Kidnapping in Eastern Baghdad

A joint security force on Wednesday rescued a judge and a doctor nearly 48 hours after they were kidnapped in an operation carried out in the Husayniya Al-Maamel area, east of Baghdad.

The operation involved personnel from the National Security Service, the Mansour and Zawraa Crime-Fighting Directorates, and the security force responsible for the area. The force located the victims and successfully freed them.

Two suspects believed to have been involved in the kidnapping were also arrested during the operation. The suspects and the two rescued victims were taken to the National Security Service headquarters as legal procedures continued.

Authorities have launched an extensive investigation into the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the kidnapping, particularly amid questions over some of the details and motives behind the operation.
