Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport Suspends Operations Following Attack

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation announced that King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh had been targeted in an attack that resulted in several injuries, with authorities working to determine the exact number of casualties.

In a statement, the authority said airport operations had been temporarily suspended pending a full assessment of the damage and verification of the safety of airport facilities, in coordination with the relevant authorities.

The authority had previously reported that Houthi attacks targeting the airport between October 6 and 8 resulted in four deaths and left a number of people injured.
