Reports: U.S. Military Aircraft Damaged in Iranian Missile Attack on Air Base in Jordan

CBS News, citing correspondent Jennifer Jacobs, reported that several U.S. military aircraft sustained damage following an Iranian missile strike targeting Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan.

According to sources, the impacted fleet includes an A-10 Thunderbolt attack aircraft that lost a wing, as well as approximately eight F-15 fighter jets that suffered minor damage before being repaired and returned to service.

The strikes, claimed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) alongside attacks on naval vessels and oil tankers, came in retaliation for Washington targeting Iranian tankers. U.S. forces reportedly launched over 30 Patriot missiles to intercept the incoming barrage, raising further concerns over dwindling air defense stockpiles.
