Qatar: Dialogue and Negotiations Are the Path to Resolving Regional Crises

Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Tuesday that regional crises cannot be resolved through military escalation, calling instead for a return to dialogue and negotiations as the most effective path toward reaching solutions.

In a statement, the ministry said Qatar supports efforts to reach an agreement concerning the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that consensus among all parties is essential to finding a solution that preserves regional stability.

Doha also reaffirmed its commitment to freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, noting that it is coordinating with its partners to address the crisis surrounding the strategic waterway.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry warned that any closure of waterways is unacceptable and called on the international community to unite to prevent such a step and avoid its potentially catastrophic consequences, stressing that the Strait of Hormuz crisis could have repercussions far beyond the region and affect the entire world.
