Panama Declares Emergency Following Two Major Earthquakes

Panama’s government has declared a state of emergency after two major earthquakes struck the country, followed by more than 100 aftershocks that damaged residential buildings, schools, medical facilities, roads and bridges.

Reports indicate that the first earthquake registered a magnitude of 7.7, while the second reached 6.6. At least 27 people have been reported injured, as authorities continue assessing the extent of the damage and emergency teams provide assistance to affected communitie
