Oil prices extend gains as concerns over Middle East supplies persist

Oil prices continued to rise for a second consecutive session on Tuesday, as lingering concerns over crude supplies from the Middle East outweighed signs of recovering regional exports.

Brent crude futures rose around 0.6% to $105.91 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate gained 0.8% to $93.32, as markets continued to monitor supply flows and developments in the region.

Preliminary data showed crude exports from major Middle Eastern producers reached around 12.8 million barrels per day in September, the highest level since February. However, reliance on alternative and more costly shipping routes has kept oil prices elevated.
