Najlaa Imad Wins Gold at France International Paralympic Championship

Najlaa Imad, a student at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Diyala, has won the gold medal at the France International Paralympic Championship following an outstanding performance in a highly competitive event featuring some of the world’s top-ranked female athletes.

The college’s Media Director, Marwa Khalid Jihad, said the achievement was the result of Imad’s strong technical and physical performance throughout the competition, stressing that her latest victory once again demonstrates her ability to reach the podium and represent Iraq with distinction at international sporting events.

For his part, Dean of the College, Uday Abdul Hussein Karim, expressed his pride in the achievement, describing Imad as an inspiring example of determination, resilience and ambition. He also reaffirmed the college’s commitment to supporting her academic and sporting career and providing the necessary conditions for her continued success.

The achievement also reflects the college’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly promoting health and well-being through Paralympic sports, advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment, and reducing inequalities by supporting the inclusion of people with disabilities in society and sport.
