Muqtada al-Sadr Warns Najaf Authorities Over Violations and Calls on Traders to Reject Fraud

Sadrist movement leader Muqtada al-Sadr issued a stern warning to the local government in Najaf on Friday, stating that he would not remain silent if authorities turned a blind eye to violations taking place in the province.

In a statement, al-Sadr said that those who fail to respect Najaf and its reputation would not receive his respect, stressing that this position was non-negotiable.

He also called on traders across Iraq to uphold honesty and lawful earnings while refraining from fraud, deception, manipulation, and unjustified price increases.
