Lebanon’s Exports to Iraq Surge 67.2% in Q2 2026

Lebanon’s exports to Iraq recorded a significant increase in the second quarter of 2026, reaching approximately $597 million, up from $357 million in the first quarter. The rise amounted to $240 million, representing growth of 67.2%.

Data from the International Trade Centre showed that gold topped the list of Lebanese exports to the Iraqi market. Shipments of gold, including unwrought gold and gold that had not undergone further processing, reached around $204 million in the second quarter, compared with approximately $34 million in the first three months of the year.

Other major Lebanese exports to Iraq included copper waste and scrap, unwrought lead, phosphate fertilizers, electrical transformers, natural calcium phosphates, aluminium and iron scrap, clothing, and prepared fruits and nuts.

The figures highlight a notable expansion in merchandise trade between Lebanon and Iraq during the second quarter of 2026, driven primarily by the sharp increase in gold exports to the Iraqi market.
