Japan’s Exports to Iraq Fall to $83 Million as Vehicles Lead Shipments

Japan’s exports to Iraq totaled around $83 million in the second quarter of 2026, according to data released by Japan’s Ministry of Finance.

The figures showed a significant decline compared with the first quarter, when Japanese exports to Iraq reached approximately $202 million, representing a quarterly drop of 58.9%.

Vehicles and automotive parts ranked first among Japanese exports to Iraq, with shipments valued at around $57 million, accounting for nearly 69% of total exports during the quarter.

Rubber and rubber products came second at $6.7 million, followed by mechanical machinery, equipment and parts worth approximately $4.4 million.

Exports of optical and medical instruments and measuring equipment reached about $3.9 million, while iron and steel products were valued at $3.3 million.
