Iraq’s Rafidain Bank Completes Technical Preparations for Loans Through SuperQi
Iraq’s Ministry of Finance announced that Rafidain Bank has completed the technical requirements and electronic integration needed to launch its loan service through the SuperQi application. The application link is scheduled to become available on Saturday, October 24, for eligible customers.
The ministry stated that the service is open to civilian and military employees, as well as retirees whose salaries are domiciled with the bank and who hold its banking cards. Applications will be accepted in batches of 5,000, with the link temporarily suspended once the maximum number of applications in each batch is reached.
The bank will then process the applications, complete administrative reviews, and conduct credit checks before depositing loan amounts into the accounts of applicants who meet the eligibility criteria and complete the required procedures. Disbursements will be made gradually on a daily basis.
The ministry added that the application link will reopen once processing for each batch is completed, allowing another 5,000 applicants to apply. The process will continue under the same mechanism.
Rafidain Bank stressed that the temporary closure of the application link is an organizational measure intended to facilitate the processing of requests. It does not mean the service has been suspended or that applications have permanently closed.
The bank urged customers to use official application channels and warned against individuals claiming they can guarantee loan approval or expedite disbursement in exchange for money. All applications remain subject to the bank’s approved procedures and electronic system.
The launch follows a directive issued by Finance Minister Falih Sari on Monday during a visit to Rafidain Bank, instructing the bank to activate the loan service to facilitate access to financing for employees and retirees in accordance with the applicable regulations.
