Iraq’s Finance Ministry Announces Administrative Changes to Address Dual Positions
Iraq’s Federal Ministry of Finance issued a ministerial order on Tuesday introducing administrative changes at several institutions under its authority, aiming to improve organizational efficiency and limit the practice of individuals holding multiple positions simultaneously.
According to the order, the ministry terminated Ahmed Jawad Hassan’s assignment as Director General of the Financial and Accounting Training Center, a position he had held through a temporary assignment from the Agricultural Cooperative Bank.
The order also appointed Laith Mohammed Hussein, an accounts assistant manager at Rafidain Bank, as acting head of the Agricultural Cooperative Bank for three months, pending completion of the required formal procedures.
The document stated that the assignments would take effect from the date of issuance, with the relevant authorities instructed to implement the necessary administrative measures.
The move comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to reorganize its affiliated institutions, strengthen executive management, and reduce the practice of holding more than one administrative position at the same time.
