Iraqi Intelligence Dismantles Foreign Kidnapping and Extortion Ring in Baghdad
Iraqi National Intelligence Services (INIS), in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, arrested a 10-member foreign criminal network operating illegally in Baghdad. The group lured foreign nationals to Iraq with fake job offers, subsequently holding them captive, filming their torture, and demanding heavy ransoms from their families. The operation follows major security breakthroughs a day earlier, including the extradition of a Spearhead Massacre suspect from Germany and the arrest of an extortionist in Syria
