Iraqi Air Force denies F-16 fighter jet crash in Nineveh
The Iraqi Air Force on Friday denied reports claiming that an F-16 fighter jet had crashed due to a technical malfunction in the Hatra area of Nineveh province.
An Iraqi Air Force official said that all aircraft involved in the flights completed their missions and landed safely at military air bases, confirming that no fighter jet crash had been recorded.
The official also dismissed reports circulating on social media alleging that an F-16 had crashed during a flight, stressing that the claims were unfounded.
The rumors emerged alongside aerial operations conducted to mark “Sovereignty Day”, coinciding with the completion of the withdrawal of the international coalition forces from Iraq.
