Iraq Participates in OPEC+ Consultative Meeting on Global Oil Market Stability and Energy Security

Iraqi Oil Minister Bassem Mohammed Khudair Al-Abadi took part in the OPEC+ consultative meeting held on the sidelines of Energy Week in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to discuss key challenges facing global oil markets and explore ways to maintain market stability.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Oil, discussions covered several major issues, including global oil market stability, energy security, investment in the oil sector, and the development of infrastructure to strengthen preparedness for crises and emerging challenges.

The minister was accompanied on the visit by Ali Nizar Al-Shatri, Director General of the State Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO), and Alaa Al-Yasiri, Director General of the Economic Department.
