Senior General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, Director of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, chaired a meeting to discuss harmonizing legal procedures and standards across military courts and Internal Security Forces courts, with the aim of strengthening coordination among the relevant institutions.

According to a statement from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the meeting was attended by the Interior Ministry’s legal adviser, the heads of public prosecution at the Ministries of Defense and Interior, the heads of the Internal Security Forces Court and the First Military Court, deputy directors of the two ministries’ legal departments, and a number of legal and judicial officials and specialists.

Discussions focused on several issues concerning the work of legal and judicial departments, particularly the standardization of procedures followed by courts and investigative boards, mechanisms for executing arrest warrants, and the organization and management of hearings in military and Internal Security Forces courts.

The meeting recommended establishing a joint committee comprising representatives from the Ministries of Defense and Interior and the Office of the Commander-in-Chief. The committee will examine the issues raised and work toward harmonizing relevant procedures and legal frameworks, enhancing coordination and institutional cooperation across the country’s legal and judicial bodies.
