🇬🇧 Iraq | International Leaders Extend National Day Greetings

Iraqi President Nizar Amedi received congratulatory messages on Thursday from Pope Leo XIV, Jordan’s King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, and Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on the occasion of Iraq’s National Day.

In his message, Pope Leo XIV conveyed his best wishes to Iraq and its people, expressing hope that peace and solidarity would prevail across the country and that the Iraqi people would enjoy prosperity and blessings. He also highlighted the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Holy See and Iraq, describing the occasion as an opportunity to further strengthen ties between the two sides.

King Abdullah II, on behalf of himself, the Jordanian government and people, extended his sincere congratulations and fraternal sentiments to President Amedi, wishing him continued health and well-being and Iraq and its people further progress and prosperity.

Meanwhile, Sultan Haitham bin Tarik sent his congratulations to the Iraqi president, expressing his sincere wishes on the national occasion and praying for Iraq’s continued security and stability, along with greater prosperity and advancement for its people.
