Iran and Oman Set to Sign Agreement on Navigation in Strait of Hormuz
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran and Oman are scheduled to sign an agreement next Monday regulating a joint navigation route through the Strait of Hormuz.
Pezeshkian said the two countries would notify the International Maritime Organization of the main provisions and details of the agreement concerning maritime traffic through the strategic waterway.
Meanwhile, the Financial Times reported that the United States has begun setting specific time windows to provide air protection for oil tankers transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
