Integrity Commission Arrests Two Mosul Municipal Employees for Receipt Book Theft
Iraq's Federal Integrity Commission announced the arrest of two employees at the Mosul Municipality Directorate in Nineveh Governorate following their involvement in stealing 60 blank official collection receipt books to illegally raise funds.
The commission detailed that one suspect stole the financial books from the revenues department and handed them to the second suspect in exchange for cash to use them for personal gain. Authorities seized official seals, receipts, and cash in their possession, and the competent judge ordered their detention under Article (444/11) of the Iraqi Penal Code.
