HITEX 2026 Opens in Erbil With More Than 150 Technology Companies

The seventh edition of HITEX 2026, a major technology and innovation exhibition in Iraq, opened in Erbil on Tuesday, bringing together more than 150 companies and around 30 startups.

Artificial intelligence, robotics and drone technologies are among the event’s key attractions, alongside a wide range of emerging digital solutions.

Running until October 9, the exhibition showcases innovations in digital administration, telecommunications, banking, healthcare and transportation, as well as technologies developed for rescue operations, firefighting and mine detection.

Organizers expect the event to draw more than 50,000 visitors, providing Iraqi and international technology companies with an opportunity to showcase their latest innovations and establish new partnerships and investment opportunities.
