Hajj and Umrah Authority Cancels Registration Fees and Orders Refunds to Citizens

The Head of the Supreme Authority for Hajj and Umrah, Sami Al-Masoudi, issued official directives to cancel the mandatory administrative and technical service fees for electronic Hajj lottery registration. This decision comes in response to public appeals and aims to ease the financial burden on citizens while streamlining the registration process. In its statement, the Authority confirmed that the collection of these fees will be halted immediately. It noted that all citizens who previously paid the fees will receive electronic refunds through established mechanisms, without needing to visit the Authority's offices. The Authority reiterated its strict adherence to lottery regulations, explicitly prohibiting any transfer of spots between winners. It also warned citizens against dealing with fraudulent social media pages promoting such transfers, vowing to take strict legal action against violators.
