Gold Prices Rise as Oil and Dollar Decline

Gold prices rose in Asian trading on Friday, supported by lower oil prices and a weaker dollar, while investors continued to monitor developments in the Middle East and global monetary policy expectations.

Spot gold gained 1.1% to $4,386.39 an ounce, while U.S. gold futures rose 0.6% to $4,425.80.

Among other precious metals, spot silver climbed 2.3% to $66.66 an ounce, while platinum increased 2.3% to $1,810.25 and palladium rose 2.1% to $1,318.50.
