Gold Prices Ease in Baghdad and Erbil Markets

Gold prices edged lower in the Baghdad and Erbil markets on Tuesday, with the price of a mithqal hovering around 950,000 Iraqi dinars, according to local market data.

In Baghdad, the selling price of a mithqal of 21-carat gold, including Gulf, Turkish and European varieties, reached around 960,000 IQD, while the buying price stood at 956,000 IQD. The same gold had sold for 965,000 IQD on Monday.

Iraqi-made 21-carat gold was priced at around 930,000 IQD per mithqal for selling and 926,000 IQD for buying.

At jewelry shops, the selling price of a mithqal of Gulf 21-carat gold ranged between 960,000 and 970,000 IQD, while Iraqi gold was priced between 930,000 and 940,000 IQD.

In Erbil, 22-carat gold reached around 984,000 IQD per mithqal, while 21-carat gold stood at approximately 940,000 IQD and 18-carat gold at 807,000 IQD.
