Gold and Dollar Prices Rise in Iraq as 21-Karat Gold Reaches 955,000 Dinars

Gold and U.S. dollar prices recorded an increase in Iraq’s local markets on Sunday, as the global price of gold stood at around $4,454 per ounce.

Local market trading showed that one mithqal of 21-karat gold reached approximately 955,000 Iraqi dinars, while 18-karat gold was priced at around 820,000 dinars. The price of 22-karat gold stood at nearly 1 million dinars, while 24-karat gold reached approximately 1.091 million dinars.

As for the dollar exchange rate, it reached around 154,000 dinars in the Kurdistan Region, compared with 154,050 dinars in Baghdad.
