Global stocks advance as inflation concerns ease
Global stock markets opened the week mostly higher, led by Japan’s Nikkei 225, which gained 2.4%, as easing inflation concerns reduced expectations of further interest-rate increases.
Oil prices moved lower, with U.S. crude falling 1.7% to $89.57 a barrel and Brent crude declining 1.3% to $100.95, amid continued uncertainty over the impact of regional tensions on energy markets.
