Finance Minister Orders Acceleration of 2027 Budget Preparations

Finance Minister Faleh Sari on Saturday directed officials to accelerate the review and completion of procedures related to the provisions of Iraq’s 2027 federal budget, in line with the approved timetable.

In a statement, the Ministry of Finance said Sari chaired a meeting of the Budget Preparation Committee following his return from New York. The meeting focused on reviewing the draft 2027 federal budget and completing its requirements ahead of its expected submission to the Council of Ministers soon.

The minister stressed the need to maintain an accelerated pace of work and complete all reviews and procedures related to the budget within the specified deadlines.
