Explosion Prompts Full Closure of Augsburg Train Station
Two people sustained minor injuries on Wednesday after an unidentified object exploded inside the main railway station in Augsburg, Bavaria, southern Germany.
Police said the blast occurred in a passageway connecting one of the station’s buildings, triggering panic among people at the site. Authorities subsequently shut down the station entirely and established a tighter security perimeter around the area.
The closure followed the discovery of a second suspicious object inside the station. Bomb disposal specialists and security authorities were deployed to examine the scene and determine the nature of the objects and the circumstances surrounding the incident
