Erdoğan and Al-Zaidi Discuss Stronger Security Cooperation and Development Road

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi discussed ways to strengthen strategic relations and deepen security cooperation between the two countries during a meeting held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meetings in New York.

According to a statement, the talks addressed the importance of restoring the full authority of the Iraqi state in Sinjar and ending the presence of banned foreign armed elements. The two sides also discussed expanding bilateral trade and investment, accelerating the implementation of signed agreements, and advancing major joint strategic projects, particularly the Development Road project.
