Dollar climbs toward multi-month highs as oil prices and U.S. yields rise
The U.S. dollar extended its gains against major currencies on Tuesday, supported by higher oil prices and rising Treasury yields, while investors awaited fresh economic data that could shape expectations for interest rates.
The euro fell to around $1.13325, its lowest level in three months, while sterling remained close to recent lows.
The dollar’s strength has also been supported by rising U.S. Treasury yields, increasing the appeal of dollar-denominated assets as markets reassess the outlook for monetary policy
