Dollar climbs above 160,000 dinars in Iraq
The U.S. dollar climbed above the 160,000-dinar mark per $100 in Iraq’s parallel currency markets on Monday, as exchange rates continued to experience significant volatility.
In Baghdad, cash selling rates reached around 160,500 dinars per $100, while Erbil recorded approximately 160,150 dinars. Rates in Basra remained slightly lower but approached the same threshold amid increased demand for foreign currency.
