Basra Governor Directs Allocation of Land for New Football Pitches

Basra Governor Asaad Al-Eidani has directed the allocation of land across the governorate’s administrative units to establish football pitches, with each site covering at least four dunams and meeting the required dimensions for 11-a-side football matches.

According to an official letter issued by the Planning Department at the Governorate Office, Basra Municipality and other municipal authorities have been instructed to coordinate with administrative unit heads to identify suitable sites and secure the required land. The Planning and Resource Management Division will oversee implementation of the directive.
