Baghdad’s Rusafa Police Uncover Alleged Staged Suicide and Arrest Four Suspects

The Rusafa Police Command in Baghdad announced that it had uncovered the circumstances surrounding a death in an agricultural area of Nahrawan, southeast of the Iraqi capital, and arrested four relatives of the deceased over suspicions of tampering with the crime scene.

In a statement, the command said investigations revealed that the suspects had altered the scene and tampered with evidence in an attempt to make the incident appear to be a suicide. Security forces also seized the weapon used in the incident, while legal procedures were initiated against the suspects.
