Baghdad Ballet Academy Students Bring “Mermaid” to Al-Sinbad Theater

BAGHDAD — Students from Baghdad’s Ballet Academy took to the stage on Friday to present a dance production titled “Mermaid” before an audience at Al-Sinbad Theater.

Dancers of different ages appeared in colorful costumes, performing a series of solo and group routines featuring coordinated formations, leaps, turns and choreographed movements under blue and purple stage lighting.

The public performance offered the young dancers an opportunity to demonstrate the skills they have developed through their training while showcasing their artistic talents on a Baghdad stage.
